At day’s end, she wants no more than to be,
To simply be;
unbridled and far from paper trail,
Earmarked dates and decibels.

There is a place where computers don’t buzz and
Hats aren’t in triplicate;
a place where calluses  don’t reign.
Where feet are used only
       for measurement and under standing.

A place where minutes cool the hours.

Gentle Spirit, passing shadows, and The Lady,

   I'm glad you enjoyed this.  Every day it seems like I need a little more transition time from the day's bustle, and poetry seems to calm me.   I hope it calms others, too.   It's been a nerve racking year for me, and I don't think I would have made it so far if not for the short mental vacations I take I at the computer instead of coffee breaks.
I appreciate your appreciation.  Thank you very much for taking time to comment.

And how we all need such a place... such a time. *S*

The title drew me in... and I'm so glad... this is fantastic! *S*

Thank you all for all generous response!

and Jo, TWO long nights at work until it's over and then... I'll kick into gear for the next set... It's a fun job, but having the kids only once a week, 600-700? kids per week, 29 classes per/week, two buildings 15 miles away with about a fifteen minute grace period before my next class...  It's really wearing me down.  There are moments I would scream if I didn't jot down a poem quickly to post.  Poetry is very healthy.  How's that for a rant and rave.  I appreciate everyone here hanging in there with me.
