My friend Kat aka Katherine recently came to India to work at an animal hospital. She's been having a rather difficult time coping with the cultural shock (for instance, one day someone left an elephant at the doorsteps of the hospital). This here, is her story in a few words:

There was once a girl called Kat
She grew up in the British Isles
Learned to call her apartment 'a flat'
Learned to paint with an electronic automaton, didn't care for fashion and styles.

But then, on a fine September day
This fiesty feline jumped onto a plane
For the voices in her head had gotten their way
As the plane soared eastward, she wondered if she's still in her senses or gone insane.

And now she's livin' like a stranger in a strange land
Caught in the middle of this old world changing into new
She prays nightly to get outta this place, the one she doesn't understand
To be the leader of her own band, but alas! Direct flights to Manchester are so few....
