~ to Juana la Loca

dear lady
now I remember this madness

to wake on a sunshine morning
kiss the other half of your heart
find he has slipped away
to plead for breath
where there is none
begs the question
what now?
cry?
there is no feel for that

si
beg
déme…
give me
dos momentos…
two moments
nada mas…
nothing more
two moments more
of his breath
suplicar
déme

but
to whom shall we plead?

ahhh dear lady
ahora
now
I remember this madness

Juana la Loca… Joanna the Mad, was the daughter of Isabel and Ferdinand. She became deranged when her husband, King Phillip the Handsome, died in 1506.

How easy it is
to remember the madness...

this slipped over me
like a silk memory...

thank you, Kate.

Hi, TL.

That was heartbreaking and lovely.  Very good, indeed.  Also, I very much liked the form--it went wonderfully with the flow.  Yours is an artistic molding of "form follows function."
