Zany Words Zany is the words that spar Echoing from near and far Searching for the daffodils Where lilies now crowd the hills Shorter are the nights for me Sailing on its misty sea Weaker are the winds that blow Fewer are the seeds I sew Dimmer is my Adams shore Nearly closed my Eden’s door Fog has hid horizons view Clog now chokes of nothing new I do not fish I’ve used my bate The time is short I cannot wait And thus to zany words I laugh These words that seem an epitaph Alas my friends disparity Has filled my bags sagacity |

I have to say this is one of my favourites by you Seymour. "I do not fish I’ve used my bate The time is short I cannot wait" I really liked these lines. The use of bate was an interesting piece of word play. Hmmm, I think this is one for my library. Thank you for sharing, Seymour.
