Today I Woke Up

today i woke up
with the memories
of our last date
what i find curious about it
is that it was a long time ago

today i woke up
with a warm feeling in my lips
the funny thing is
the last kiss you gave me
was a long time ago

today i woke up
desiring to see you
the strange thing about it
is that i remember
i said that i didn't want to see you again

but now i want to see you
i want to betray my words
i want to forgive and forget everything
because thanks to this desire
i could stop dreaming
i could stop sleeping
because of this desire of seeing you again
today i woke up.

I like this. But be careful of realizations like that. Loneliness is a powerful motivator, but it often points us in the wrong direction.
