Closer to Hell...

I’m trying to paint your picture; but I don’t know how
The first word that popped into my head when I met you was “Wow”
I’d almost mistaken you for a girl at first
When I said so I’d thought that you’d really burst
But you just smiled and said “I get that a lot”
You’re fake smile was so easy to spot
Most guys take stuff like that really serious
The fact that you didn’t struck me as curious
When you offered to pose for me
I was jumping up and down with glee
Excited to draw someone so striking
Finding the offer generous and inviting

But when I started to paint the colors didn’t flow
What was wrong I didn’treally know...
Usually I have no problem picking up my brush
But I didn’t feel any kind of inspiration or rush
There are so many colors but not one is right for you
It doesn’t make sense but it’s almost like...

...some things not right with you...

As if there’s a missing piece to your soul
Almost as if you weren’t born whole
The void I’ve seen in your eyes makes me uneasy
Thinking like this is making me queasy
Maybe there’s some kind of twist; like the marks I’ve seen on you’re wrist
But maybe I shouldn’t look too hard; Ignorance is bliss
You’re really not much older than me
Still a boy but soon a man you’ll be

Sitting in front of me you looked so angelic
The fact that I couldn’t capture you makes me sick
But the vibes I was getting were really unsettling
Perhaps there’s more to this whole thing...

Giving up for now I turn out the light
Trying to get the image of you out of my sight
I find myself submerged in darkness and I let out a gasp
Something so shocking but so easy to grasp
Painting you won’t take much work or tacked
Because the only color I could use is black

Have you ever met some one who didn't seem all there?
Like maybe they were a little less than human? I'm not really sure if you can be less than human but...

...Maybe I'm just paraniod! I'd much prefer to be paraniod than be right. (I had this really freako dream and somehow it reminded me of the boy with the hollow eyes) *shivers*

I really don't like the title. I also don't like this poem (If you could call it that) And I plain old don't like the creepy feeling I get when I read it. If you can give any suggestions I'll be glad to hear them!

Enjoyed this one Kira.

I've often been told I'm not all there . Though I don't think people mean I am the same as the subject of your poem. At least I hope they don't!

This poem reminds me of a girl I once knew. Like the poem she was just somehow... wrong. I could never put my finger on just why.

Keep on writing so I can keep on reading

"The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun
With Coca Cola clouds behind a Big Mac sun."

Kira, I like the contrast that comes out in this poem.  A little spooky...  Good job in keeping my attention, too.
