Banner of Sacrifice

04 October 2006

For the love of my Careyann,
when nothing else will suffice.
Such a plan to deliver upon a page,
this history of a cross in nailed kind.

A banner of sacrifice, shades in the sun;
two souls in separation, at last almost one.
Together in these latter-days,
the finest hour to await.
Of what was all in grace,
an Almighty beginning to taste.

Triumphant and everlasting, each day a new step,
those paces neither lengthening, close to seed.
Prayers in way gifted, answers to call,
to move a mountain or a mighty redwood fall.

For the love of a life, a lifetime of prepare,
only stumbling, fortune either to relate.
Making a booking upon her heart,
this book of life so transcribed.

Because no one would tear
them aside once more.
This Careyann and Christopher,
perdition never to escape.

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the
LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and
shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it."
Isaiah 2: 2 KJV
