We have come to a plateau
In this world, our world
There are passing shadows,
Followed by a dark stranger
Of self before others
RevengeIsMine
And other equally
Toxic thoughts
Of self
Ironic Miscellanea
Far too many have chosen
To stand mute
Placing their HopeS
In the long forgotten Icebox
Of ideals.
Where are the castleguards?
The dreamer spirits
The Gentle Spirits
That allow their Serenity Blaze
To ignite the Suthern view
Of the purest Goldenrose?
Have we forgotten,
It takes but one ray of
Sunshine
To turn the foulest of
Ratleaders
Into the purest of
Windwalkers?
I beseech of you,
Take this day,
ThisDiamond
We have so trustfully been given
and look within ourselves
whisper a silent "thank you"
for what we hold most precious
in our lives.
And in doing so,
let us not forget each other
People known by names
of their choosing,
in a world without boundaries
or walls.
Where appearance
is counted only in small black letters,
and you are measured by what counts most
your words.
Where we hold hands tightly,
yet never touch.
Laugh together freely,
yet never hear a voice.
And send our love
knowing the recipient will receive it,
and return it,
though we have never met.
Count as dear
The poet in all of us
That strives to enlighten
To comfort
To set a standard.
Count each person individual
As collectively
Leaves room for contempt
Never just The Lady
Or Honeybunch
But by whom they are
A Marcel, an Aziza
With respect
Count each as special
For within each radiating soul
Each pulsing heart
Every mind capable of rational thought
Lives a poet

With my thanks to Marge Tindal who has set a benchmark of caring we all must strive to meet.
And to those not mentioned by name, you do reside in my heart.

Well now, this just made my day.  There were a few stanzas that twinked my heart with some particularity...

Thank you for this, Lady.

*Suthern* - it fit in, as do you, so perfectly.

Then there are those, myself included, that chose to be know by somewhat more difficult names We fit in also, in our own unique way.

Thank you for the read.

Thank you for this wonderful tribute to all of us and, yes, I am most honoured to find my "name" there.

The sentiment hopefully outweighs the flaws.

Thank you Marge, for always seeing the good, and overlooking the flaws.

Thank you Linda.

I'm not sure where I fit in, not in this world. I know I am normal, for me. I am a mom, and a friend. No one calls me daughter, sister, or wife. Special is not a word I would use to describe myself. But I do see a path, and if I can inspire one person to take up my torch and follow down the path, if I can just set but one thing right in this world, well, maybe that is where my own personal worth is. Until that time, I remain just plain
