A Phantoms Walk I’ve talked with phantoms of my age Of reticular on a stage Discussing pro and con of some And what another would have done It is a fantasy I know And is a fantasy I sew But age has set a limit on And time has said that it is gone You cannot change with alchemy The echoes of dichotomy You can in seem make birds to sing But never will you change a thing It has the feeling of a crime For I’m the genie of this time And though it sets a different stage It is but mist and not a page We can’t undue or change the store Nor can we stay for evermore We must accept the rivers bend We must accept this moment’s end And weather it was this or that It is my friend all butterfat |

A fatalistic poem of forced compliance and yet one of strength and acceptance. We have all been given a set portion of life's butterfat, but alas, with the passing of time, it melts away bit by bit until it and we, simply disappear...
