"You remind me of my sister. She has an ongoing love affair with nature."

Edward, this I cannot contest.  Thank you for your inspiration.

                 ~miscellanea~

I plead guilty of, this is true;

a long standing love affair

(With greenest grass and eyes of blue

Intertwined with peach and pinks

Colored patches, abundant tease

Of every tint or hue)

I am guilty, this is true,

Of playing tag upon the beach;

Chasing shadows I often seek,

Searching the highest heavens in the sky.

When I find the One with guilt

Who threw his presence down

Upon his cloudy shadow  I will lie, and

Fly with speed of the ever-changing light.

The guilt, I can no longer disguise, as

I'm stroking grass with eyes.

Yes, the greener hair on hillsides I once knew;

A finger twirl away, a moment gone to play,

I plead guilty,

Yes, indeed, I do.

You drew my hopeless romantic side in with
your title, and I'm so glad you did. This
is a beautiful poem. I love the way you
wrote it. Different than I thought it would be,
but so beautiful.
Hugs,
Ethel

Ethel,

   It is so goooood to see you again.  Seems like I only get around here in spurts.  Somehow I miss your posts by doing this.
Hope you are doing well and I can catch a poem or two from you before caught in new week's workwind.

   Thank you for sharing your appreciation.

Your love affair with the beauty of nature is the best kind of affair there is. The way you put it makes me feel like I'm there.
