Cat Dash Girl
Walking down the road
Body flagging side to side
Whew, she's got a load!

Her torso is extended;
Head is held so high,
Legs are almost sprinting,
Mouth is running dry;
(Tongue upon her lips.)

He couldn't help but notice her
In sleek black boots,
The come-on that he gives her-
Like water that feeds the roots,
"Hey ya, Kitty, howdy do?
Would ya like to get some foooood?
How 'bout a little chowww?
Dig right in there, Honey!"

Food for thought right now...

    "Whoa, Babe-put your Pause on me!
    Hurry won't ya?
    Catch that itching, blasted flea!"
    (How very gullable,
      Dirty dogs can be...)

"Put your pause upon me,
Can you, can you scratch that
itching flea?
How, how guillible, you dirty dogs can be."

Put your "pause"....too funny.  I can tell you are in one of your funnier, creative moods tonight, Miss C.  Better watch out for those Wolf Hounds....hehehe.  *hugs*...jo

Hey, when opportunity knocks, ya take it.  Thought up a line or two, and just had to make something from it.  Words and sounds are just too dog-gone-fun to waste.

have a good weekend!

sewasham,

   Glad you liked the word play.  I don't do it well verbally, but I sure like to do word play in writing.  I try to put a lot of hidden plays or analogies in almost all of my poetry--kind of like playing Where's Waldo.  It thrills me when someone notices it.  Thanks for noticing and commenting.

Such a fun poem to read -- makes me think how fun it must have been to write.  I love the play on words.

This sounds very "beat" to me. Much enjoyed
