A Heartsong I sing for you, a heartsong, a song of love and peace, though things will never be the same, memory showers will never cease. Notes like drops on a tin roof in the quiet you rarely hear, there is where I sing for you, humming times I hold so dear. It's not a sad song, mind you, not bittersweet, but soft and slow, like a lingering soulful gaze, you've seen it before, I know. I sing for you, a heartsong, you've heard me before, I'm sure because I've heard you sing along when you, too, remember how wonderful we were. |
