Awake to Sleep

29 September 2006

An image was a view
a photograph of the heart
Where love was faith
and amour was semi-attached

Two of a kind
in one another matched
The egg the chicken
and how one or the other hatched

The princess and the pauper
or a case of blind mans bluff
For she was strong, really, really tough
and he dressed in rags,
nothing more than a scruff

Rich man, poor man,
distance divided the half
While still waters run deep
and the other awake,
another asleep

“Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin
of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto
the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.”
1 Kings. 8: 34 KJV
