Blind Eyes Could Not See

When she was so close to me
there were things that my
blind eyes could not see.

Now that she's far away,
I understand that she never
made that choice, to want
to be with me.

There was a time I
wanted her back,
only considering the
desires of my flesh,
but now I understand,
that to have her without
the blessing of her heart,
can only create a mess.

As a fellow poet said,
some want to be lonely
and free, or perhaps
as I now believe, some
want to be free
of attachments.

You've grown, my friend, since first I read you long ago...in your way with words and in your soul...

Yes, James, I believe that too....
free of attachments and commitments.

very good poem, i really like it.
i understand the idea of blind eyes, sometimes it just happens i suppose..
but, i guess it's on everyone's decision to start "Seeing" more things..and stop missing those important things..that if they are not seen..they may result very painful..
Very good Work.
