Love that saves,
dreams so deep.
Words like waves,
spoken in sleep.
Mingled in midnight,
entangled until cockcrow.
Hearts calmed, light,
where roses grow.
Fragrant new day,
brings beats bold.
Hearts together lay,
pure blissful gold.
Precious souls glistering,
my life ageless.
Our spirits coruscating,
until times endless.

Very very softly penned.
Much enjoyed Phil.

That quietly repeating metric pattern, added to those understated alliterations....this poem is hypnotic! I think I just added a new item to my little poetic picnic basket. Sooner or later, I'm gonna try it myself!

Beautiful as usual from you....much to be expected.

J. M. Barrie, the playwright, may have said it best when he wrote, “God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December.”

A soft, resonant "ahhhhhhhh".

Very lovely, indeed.
