Live Well My Son

From birth, you’ve been strong by my side
My child, and now my friend.
We grew up together, both you and I
But all things will find their own end.

For so long, your hand was held by mine,
But those days have passed, my work is done.
So to you I say go find your success,
To you I say; live well, my son.

I teach you no more, for it’s not my place
Now you live by lessons hard won.
So travel on to your life’s station,
And remember; live well, my son.

There lies in my heart a sacred place
Where memories like a strong river run.
Where the waters are echoes of a proud mother’s words,
I love you, live well my son.

Dedicated to my first son, David. Dream first, then bring it to life.

"train up the child in the way he should go..."

which is exactly what you did

David has a rock to cling to
in his mother
this touches me deeply...

Such a tender beautiful write.
Something we all wish for our children.

Thank you Lady. He is a remarkable young man, and a credit to himself. I merely pointed the path, he made the choices that carried him down the road.

Enchantress, thank you for your words. I've seen two children take wing, and have two left at home. I keep trying!

It is difficult for we Moms when our little 'birdies' leave the nest, but if we have given them wings by teaching them well, then they will not only fly, they will soar!

I believe, that your son will do just that! May he manifest all his dreams into reality!

A beautiful piece of writing from your loving heart.

Loving Light,
EA

EA, thank you and yes it is difficult. But I am condfident in him, and more to his credit, he is confident in himself. Still, I will miss having him about
