Sunset waning over blades

Consuming light the verdant shadow

Cooling ground to dusk

Outward it stretches in Dawning,

an awning for crawly things

Goose down for tiptoes

or Those

Of whom upon are trod;

Again springs grass

Consummating

light and shadow.

Lazy waves of grass..,

Ah, Misc'e...

I'm finally getting some time to read again, AND respond.

So I lit upon yours...

I've been reading...just haven't had the time to let you know.

So, know.

I miss you!

Hugs

K

iliana,

Thank goodness for writing!  The air was rather turbulent today and this week!  My job is inconceivably challenging!  There comes a breaking point, but I looked at the grass on my drive home, and I realized that it rarely ever breaks, but instead, retains its beauty.   Rather, it enjoys the tiptoes, the bounces, and yes, even careless people trodding upon it without thought.  I will be the grass.

love,

Sunshine,

I understand completely!  I thought things were supposed to calm down the older one becomes!  Ha!  Heck, sometimes we just have to "invent calm".
Sure miss you, too.  Thanks for dropping by.  You chose the perfect timing, My Friend.

Yeah, me too, all the above...and the grass too (execpt mine keeps getting longer and crying for a grass-cut)...and, like you, I'm still waiting for that "calming down" bit as you age...c'mon, I aging faster than I'm calming....it needs to catch up before I 'age' outta the race!

jwesley,

Your response made me visualize an impressionistic painting of tall swirling grass or hay... Quite beautiful is that tall grass in all the turbulence and breeze...
All the better when it calms...

    Enjoyed your response!

You remind me of my sister. She has an ongoing love affair with nature.

Your poem is touching and beautiful. Cheers   - Ed

Your pen is your brush... these blue pages, your canvas... and your words the colors... you paint us into your moment. Beautiful!
