.

listen
primitive sounds
echo throughout the night
haunting frenzied calls continue
penetrating deep into lush forests
communication of primates
intriguing language skill
caterwauling...
listen.

.

~Thank you to Marge Tindal for the word of the day
and a new form for me to try~

~Lady
You nailed it fine
right down, intact, exact
Hooray for you my dearest friend
No more excuses from you come again
Caterwauling, indeed did mend
Rictameter from friend
'Jane' would be proud
Lady~

I'll bet 'hubby' likes this one a LOT !

This brings to mind the calling of the orang utan males calling in their fast dwindling territory and it is brilliant just to make me think of those beautiful creatures..thank you Nancy..

Donna~Thank you so much for the wild applase.

Dear Marge~Strange isn't it how one word in an email set me off to write a rictameter!
Many thanks again m'friend.
And hubby?  He would rather I not frighten him any more with my primate welcoming call.

Phil~That is exactly what I was thinking of when I wrote this.  Dr. Jane Goodall was in town speaking yesterday and what an inspiration she is!!  Such great work this wonderful lady does!

For those who would like to read more about Jane and the work she has done in protecting the animals and the planet, here is her interesting site.

Hey Scorpio~Good to see you again!
I am very impressed with Jane Goodall's work,
and her time spent in this city left quite an impact..
not just on me but the young people.
She is a very giving and gifted woman.
