the gods of memory songs
hang their ravens on trees
like socks without mates
but they are all black
so they match inconsistently

I threw away the love letters
I wrote to no one special
when I was a boy of forty
when dreams still wore gauze
and stood at only my window

they are on wall street now
during a world series celebration
from some window they pretend
to be butterflies descending
on strangers to be stuck in hair

and carried to no where quickly
to be combed out as if painful
and placed in plastic yawning
and my heart feels the combs
the jagged of the teeth edges

perhaps I should call it arousal

Another classic masterpiece. Or is that redundant? I don't know, but as always, enjoying reading the Dark one.

Indeed you should.....Ok, I officially have a favourite of yours now

Melissa~

Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world!

This made me cry. The ravens did it, somehow symbolic to me these days. You make emotions dance and bow like a weary willow.
