With hair tinted in hues
vermillion and copper
sometimes pulled up
in prim and proper,
my business suit look
hangs around my neck

while other times, I'm a lazy sweat suit
curled up in blankets of warm
while emotions flow through my pen
whether of light, or of storm.

At times you can see
a country girl, denim and flannel
walking through fields of colors
painted against a skyline
but sometimes, I am more...
I'm  another

adorned in timeless satin and lace
with hair softly curled in trace
falling around the face of romance
is someone that you might see
if you looked closely at me.

Then...
on those special times
when the daring woman comes out
dressed in night life,
silk stockings and blouse
cut so low
glimpses of just a little more
than society might feel
should be shown.

Yes, some might call me trash
while others might say I have class
and some choose to call me baby
but in all of these times,
who ever it is that I am;
that I've chosen to be,
held within each of these
beats this heart,
always,

  a lady.

Oh dear. Hm. I should stop saying that. Perhaps "Wow" instead? Lovely, flowing, truthful poem brimming with quiet confidence and... well I don't know but it caught at me. I loved this piece. xxx

Describes it well, this prism that is the human soul.

We are all so many things, and always beautiful.

Well done.
