My own little Icey Oblivion

Pull on baggy pants with fifteen pockets and chains,
Throw on a black metal band shirt not much remains.
Lace up black screw studded combat boots,
Tie hair back reflectiong ones roots.
Strap on bracelets - spiked, D-ringed and leather,
Hook on a spiked leather collar in any weather.
Step into the light of the night,
Where everything is a delight.
And now I feel your stare,
Piercing my back is your glare.
Everywhere I go all I hear is...
"Damn Creatures of the Night..."
Walk down the street with boots clacking,
Hear the sound of chains smacking.
Pants swish and sway with every step,
Hair bounces with attitude not pep.
Collar shining bright in the street lights,
Bracelets clinging sound like armor of knights.
I feel you looking out your windows
I hear all your innuendoes.
And all I ever hear is...
"Damn those Creatures of the Night..."
Stay awake till the break of dawn,
Awaiting the next night to spawn.
Think on intelectual levels with brains,
Sit out in the open devouring peace as it rains.
Not afraid to be,
We don't mind we'll let you see.
Just trying to exist,
What's next on your 'X' list?
Yet all we ever hear is...
"Damn Creatures of the Night!!"

Yep,  I think you are right...In my day,
it was Hippies and drugs, stuff like that.

Now, it can be a dozen different things..

To each his own...only fair. OH, good
write, you set the mood well.

Hot Flakes, this may be my favourite poem of yours that I have read to date!

Exceptionally descriptive and puts the reader in the skin of one of those "Creatures of the Night" ~ By the way, you captured me perfectly! lol

Very well done!
