Oh dancing leaves derived from one so many, so many one,
I would be dancing with you.
Oh bending branch whence dancing moves your body,
You hold them all so tightly one by one.
Oh yet standing trunk, you ground their wavy ways
To keep they’re shaking to themselves.
Oh ye roots I’m ‘coly sorry
I sympathize; your silence speaks enough.

I see so many leafs a-dancing; each dance the tune disjointed.
The branches make united the leaves that prance away
One trunk whence comes the branches, yet unifies them all
Sad roots unseen that make no sound are teaching life to loop.
Quiet, for sun now comes the silenced bawling.

I am the two-toed wanderer
