Every Day of You

23 September 2006

I want you
I need you
I love you
But what pain
do I earn

I desire your beauty
I desire you inside out
I know who you are
and love you beyond all doubt

Yet this pain is real
my eternal reality
To love you, who ever you are
and your soul and body in kindness feel

Open you heart, hear me knocking
welcome the day, the one we make love
Because that day will not be tomorrow
it will be every day, every day
of you I do give and pledge my love

“But his flesh upon him shall have pain,
and his soul within him shall mourn.”
Job 14: 22 KJV

to think of that love I had for those passing shadows, yet to encounter the love I have now, and know both are of value, yet one could indeed truly be the greatest love of them all
