Without a trace she vanishes from sight
O what a misfortune to me befalls
To spend even one lost and lonely night
With naught to love but these transparent walls
My cross to bear if there ever should be
A sacrifice for the pain that is mine
Would that I could change these things before me
Enemy stoic death from hands of time

Not a trace nor word spoken of leaving
Veiled she is in some mind numb part of me
Placed there at the moment of the cleaving
To remain this way forever shall be
My one hope is to continue to yearn
For one day to grace me with her return

When you can say, I don't want her to return, she is free...James

Not without a trace is she
her echo lingers on in thee...
