Shirt is shed on summer's grass,
Leaves await their falling;
Grass is cutting free its seed,
Billowing clouds are calling.

They skim the skies while glancing down,
No 'possom do they play;
Hide and streak across the sky
'Til dusk sneaks on its way.

Upon the cloth he lies so still
while beams infuse man's chest;
His aura cradled in the clouds
As bustle absorbed by rest.

The grass, soon, will make a bed
for the yellow, red-orange, and brown;
Clouds will hide and streak the sky
But the shirtless man will not be found.

Under desk, shadowed knees,
Imagination dressed in dark;
Stress relief, "Coffee please..."
Overdue: postmark.

Behind a window, an airless wait,
Until the sun surprises day;
Then again, will he drop his cloth?
On the ground, will his shirt he lay?

I needed this poem....needed it. I've lost the good of what September can be, and now....yes, this.

Amazing is indeed the word for this. Readable, re-readable, irresistable. Excellent work.

I was smiling and visualizing all the way through! Thanks for the very pleasant respite in my very hustly bustly day!

I enjoyed the interlude, Sweet misc!

Loving hug and a warm smile,
Linda
