sunset gloom

quarter mile

wind
cold sand

now

stand
ankle deep in it

watch the
sun

give up and
drown

Today was the first cool day after an even chillier night..I loved the feel of the sun shining and the cool fresh air...

Fall has arrived~~ and I loved your poem...sometimes the gloom has a calming feel to it.

It does seem as if the sunset does just what you describe, as you describe. Quietly eloquent.

Ed..I can feel the changing in this poem, like the sun is falling into the cusp.

But it doesn't go without leaving some of its glory behind. *S*

This is melancholy at its best, my friend. *S*
