Lead today
gone tomorrow
democratic
autocratic
obscurely dressed
transparently clad
much to do
about nothing

leader today
forgotten soon
tension maker
dressed in white
thoughts in black
much to do
to undo
one accord gone
another obsolete

Today one leads
one goes astray
the stray get got
leaders direct
or fall in row
no matter what
much to do
about nothing.

I take it this is a commentary on what the Pope said and the reaction that followed (or for that matter, some political leaders we know, too *wink*).  Excellent write and true!

How very well put!  Masses make mountains out of molehills, oblivious to true dangers that loom.

funny enough that may have been in back of my mind although i was thinking Bush, the Pope fits fine...to have quoted an obscure statement from the 13 hundreds when there is a state of unrest between two main western religions is a definite lack of thoughtfulness. But then here was a pope who in his younger years was a member of the Hitler youth and as far as i know did not question that then...
