So called, this humanity
of mankind
often leads me to rise of tears
and I cry out,
shouting curses
that only fall   upon
    deaf ears

leaning only to hear
the shouts of the rich
held in circles of
political niche,

where justice is for one
but not for all

and from our grace
do they ever fall;

in a world where honor
is replaced by greed
and gain overpowers
the reality     of need.

So called, this humanity
of mankind
often brings rise of tears
and I cry
"please God, compassion...

let all men find...."

Everything I write in response sounds like a platitude.

Your poem interested me,

May the awakening to love occur! Sometimes the process of evolution seems so slow, you are right.

I appreciated your compassionate heart in this important write, dear Donna.

Love,
Margherita
