Nadir Roots

By omission ceases the dual of the heart and the mind
Coming into valley, hope meets impasse in pause
At first solemn, digging a toe into the softened earth
Then, forgiving myself, to stoop and dig with eager hands

Lathered, the sun is arrogant to be right
Yet only to the stream, have I uncovered
So cool, the doing that is my undoing

Deeper fits me
Making commodious this dwelling of us
Silent and peaceful, the fire burns beside the well
It seems I have rediscovered the basis of flower
And here, the center beats the reason so long searched

Well, this is certainly a many-leveled poem...
and well done.

I enjoyed this in all its aspects, Kathleen.

Thank you.

I Love the imagery too!!!!! And I love these lines:

"Deeper fits me
Making commodious this dwelling of us
Silent and peaceful, the fire burns beside the well
It seems I have rediscovered the basis of flower
And here, the center beats the reason so long searched"

From the acme to the nadir of your poem, there is emotion in motion.

You are a deeply poetic writer, TD

I believe the greater our tribulations, the deeper we become, a soul feast of words here...enjoyed the depth of you...marvelous writing.
