shimmer speaks silver
but the bronze seduces darkness

sifter of dreams
sways her sensual
around the serpent's spiral
in the man of tree ascending

to the sky then
she is wind swept
she speaks of clouds
and of lava wearing her sins

she begs forgiveness
and offers no redemption
but damp fingers on windows
writing her poems backwards

for the mirrors of a satyr's eyes
