I Kissed Her

I kissed her over morning’s tea
And on the oceans sandy shore
I carved her name upon a tree
And said I’d love her evermore

I promised her the moon the stars
And take her to the world of Oz
A lovely home a pretty car
The prettiest garden ever was

And now I think and heave a sigh
Did I reach my promised goal?
I never meant to tell a lie
The bouquet was my very soul

I pray that she be satisfy
I know sometimes I’ve been a bore
I’ve done my best to vivify
To do all youth has ever swore

Forgive me if I’ve fallen short
We still have yet the final port

I think you've always done everything possible
to bring joy to any one's life...always...

fear not, dear Sy.  You're one in a million...

and that's why she kept you!

A kiss?  To be so lucky!   Sy, your lady knows. Rainbows seem to move their pot of gold, but how many times you must have been her blue sky, her sun, and her rain for the garden she grows... We tend to take for granted the seeds we plant, don't we?  But the blooms, oh the blooms!

Sir Sigh, your morning's kiss must be sheer bliss. Isabel must be quite a woman to have captured ~ and kept! ~ the heart of a sweet, sonneteering man such as yourself!

A poem that touches the heart.

May your love last beyond this world and into the next!

Dear Seymour, your soft heart is a delight to experience!
... and with every kiss the promised happiness "flares" again, what a gift when we are committed like you to love and to bring joy to our partners.
Beautiful!!

Love and hugs.
