Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

Writing poetry can remind me
Of hunching over in a dark alley
Holding a fist full of dice
To pleading lips
Before tossing them
- Praying, hoping, gambling –
That I will find the right combination
Only to see scattered syllables
Amid my incomplete poetry puzzle

I like this, aziza--a perfectly good write about not being able to write!

Cheers,
Bill

Oh wow do I ever equate...... I have spiral pads full of incomplete poetry....some pages with just a line or a verse, some filled and lapped over onto the next page. Every time I manage to tear a page or two out of one, it seems I'll get some random new idea, and -- Presto, new page!

Which translates to....gee whiz, I've got hundreds of failures sitting there.....

I have a folder that is stock full of incomplete poetry "puzzles"! It's fun to revisit them and find something to work with when the timing is 'write'!

Cute poem!

ah aziza
I call my file marginalia
and it’s full…

“Of hunching over in a dark alley
Holding a fist full of dice
To pleading lips
Before tossing them”

great analogy...

Alison, I keep a file on my desktop with phrases that are waiting to bloom into something with meaning. Half-feelings still in the process of growing up. I relate to this so well!

I certainly do relate to this.
Good writing, by the way.

With time the puzzles will come together my friend, having the time to enjoy it is the hardship, your words are not so scattered, there is always a path that leads us to the meaning each time. Throw them around and let us enjoy the venture.

Enjoyed once again aziza.

Sincerely
Rick
