You claimed my innocence like it was yours to take
You tied me down, made me feel fake
Can I ever forgive you for what you did?
A hopeless love; I was only a kid
You took advantage of the child inside
Yet in your arms I chose to hide
Don’t dwell on faces from long ago
Another chance to me you owe
But cherish what I gave to you
A secret past, another view

In forgiving lies peace ... but this sad poem says how difficult it can be. Yet, you look at it also as your precious gift, which is in its profound meaning very healing.

Stirring write.

Love,
Margherita
