After The Dark Comes Light

I understand the reasons
Answers were hard to find
Being unable to reach
Inside their troubled mind

Difficult to find the words
Emotions they immobilize
Inner torment continues
Behind those distant eyes

Inside a tunnel of despair
Whilst depression reigned
They choose not to talk
Silent they have remained

To my silent friend I write
With my love and sincerity
Given was my assurence
They can still count on me

After the dark comes light
Within rays of hope I send
Upon wings and a prayer
Conveyed in love to a friend

Oh yes, to light a candle of hope, in a dark despairing mind, is to be honored. A penned voice of encouragement, when trusted, prompts a turning point for those blinded by sorrow. Your words are precious.
