:: Witching Moon ::

One day I stood under the witching moon
beneath the willow boughs
as they wept and told their tale of sorrow.
The sun was green, boiling bright beauty
as darkness cast a surreal shadow over my heart.
It netted me, captured and confined me
among whispering leaves of erotic promise
Day and night were one, Siamese twins forever linked
and the oppressive heat melded with the dew
forming a sheen on my upper lip
and an inferno between my thighs.
Each sinewy branch enticed me
with lashes of dancing pain
and I felt deeper quivers of longing as I shivered
in the nightmarish light of day.
