Where the child can be free

From: Dawn
To: Dusk

Every sunrise, at the early birth of morning.
Why do you run so swift-footed
away from wher I may see you?
It is no fear of being seen, I know,
for you too glow so radiant in a different sky.
And there, on the other side of our world,
you smile as I sleep.  Oh Moon do you
dream of me as I of you?
Or when we pass in sleep
do you look at me, see my face,
and call me stranger?
