This time holds distance, could it have been that long
since I have heard Neil singing yesterdays song?
“I am I said to no one there” floats on air
“and no one heard at all not even the chair.”

Swept away moments now frozen from the past
sweet treasures like these, timeless, through decades last.
Time tick tocks, slow rocking, while slipping away.
Melodic spell, in capture of yesterday.

Slip sliding in thought to the days of my youth
so carefree were moments spent searching for truth.
Silent refrains, in shadows, play on the wall
this tug, that pull of emotions, such soft recall.

Precious are these moments, so treasured, so few
wrapping me in the sweetness of memory hues.

Beautiful Donna!
This has to be your best and now my favourite from you!
Heart hugs~Nancy

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again....

Thanks for bringing back a few memories of my own, Donna.  Enjoyed the read.  *hugs*...jo

Ah, Little One...now you're talking about one of my very favorite artists when it comes to song writing, singing, just...being!

Someday, do yourself a favor [because age is only making ND better...] and get his Tennessee Moon CD.  On it, listen closely to "Everybody" and this particular line...

"...may I get lost in your eyes for a lifetime or two..."

Magic!
