RESET

RESET,
That's what we need.
Push RESET, play again;
Pentagon whole, dependable,
Pennsylvania heroes still in their beds,
Or packing, calling Uncle Dave;
And the Towers, let's have
Lunch there, once we've
RESET.

RESET!  We can't, but I want to.  I can't forget, and I don't want to.

Yes, if only we could.

Certain sounds come to mind...

"going to .... in a handbasket" is one of them.

My mother told me this....

as her father did....

and I suppose, his father did....

just before they said goodbye.

I always note that people say this
because they felt the world
wouldn't miss them
or do any better with, or without them...

they were tired that they could not make a difference, I suppose.

Yet, while they were here?

I, for fact, know they tried.

Reset.  Well, yes, I'm reset now
to try and make a difference.

Thanks for this repost, Poet.  WE need it.

All of US.
