Listening to every heart

In Midstream

Come with me,

when I          day a dream
against some invisible plate of
next come to me,
the flight path’s gateway
opens.

When I am still, and moment’s day
is streaming in some midlight

it becomes song moment
of wonder

that flits, flutters, scampers.

They are quick, God’s creatures,
who seem to tease one’s
peripheral vision

because
if you try to see them
as if they were dusty fairies

you won’t.

But from the corner of your sight

              rainbows gleam, upon feathered wing
                       and breath-spread flight

in midstream.

Like some scream of white,
fluttering against some
pane of stream.
