smell the grass
freshly cut
green
begging
to be played on
the smell of popcorn
floats on the autumn breeze
22 players for 60 minutes
monsters of the gridiron
blood sweat and tears
aches pains and broken bones
thousands wait
cheering them on
through win or loss
lights
camera
touchdown
the croud screams
music plays
people dance
victory is celebrated
defeat bitter
rejection and elation
in such a short distance
making or breaking dreams
without any concern
or impugnity
yet they play
for every second
displaying the gift they were given
in the crap shoot of life
Football is here

No one is more professional than I. I am a Noncommissioned Officer, a leader of soldiers.

Muscular stuff--some great descriptive imagery. I really enjoyed this.
Cheers,
