Two masks
one of black
one of white
one with a smile
one with a tear
Two masks
cover my
two faces
as each one
looks away
from you
Two masks
one of light
one of dark
one looking in
one looking out
Two masks
cover my
two faces
as each one
hides my
inner fears
Two masks
one of happy
one of sad
one of good
one of bad
Two masks
cover me
and i know
you never knew
either one
of me.

Alison - it's a shame that most people do never know but worse still when the one closest to you doesn't know.  Enjoyed your thoughts!

Oh, this is sad.  I have those black and white faces in the form of a ring box on my dresser and I immediately saw those when I started reading this.  *hugs*...jo
