Forever In Your Heart

As I stepped outside,
A cool brisk wind,
hugged my body.

My nostrils smelled,
that all familiar smell,
my old friend was coming.

Bringing artist colors,
to paint my world beautiful,
how can death be beautiful?

Walking, I feel the crunch,
the first leaf to fall,
was green now a rusty brown.

How sad that you must die,
your time now has come and gone,
but you give beauty in dying.

How must I enjoy the colors,
knowing life was given,
for me to have happiness.

Reminds me of the one,
who came before me,
who set the world free.

He showed us his love,
his true colors,
through death.

He became beautiful,
he was like the leaves,
that hang on the trees.

He was crushed,
put underfoot by mankind,
sacrificing his life.

Dying, so that we may see,
come to know his love,
seeing the beauty of life
after death.

Each leaf is a life,
like a soul that God has given,
when I see them falling and
dying, they are giving their
life for my pleasure of their
beauty.

There is beauty in the leaves
that are dying,
in their last moments of shinning.

God rewards them with orange,
red, and Gold,
fall is the death of summer,
within its leaves, lies
a story to behold.

I love Autumn and the colours.
You painted them beautifully...much enjoyed the read.
Hugs~Nancy

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again....

The burst of fall colors leaves me in awe, and my mom used to say fall was her least favorite season because everything died.  You have penned a new perspective on the beauty of that death being akin to that of our Savior.  Thank you for sharing this.

God bless
