Time spent waiting
watching, weather want
sprinkling of thoughts
to wet an appetite
wondering when
THE moment would arrive.

Footsteps passing,
crunching of imprints left behind
puddle splashing
giggling
breaking the hold
of serious play.

Fingers lifting, touching
rearranging
angled squares
boards leaning, holding
weavings seamed
to another's liking.

Ringing, swinging bells
on chains
swaying hips, belted with song
pipers noting
the rhythm of each until
the passing of time...

well spent.

M

Thank you...just a small snapshot of the Renaissance Faire with the remnants of the  hurricane leaving us without electricity for over 18 hours...and then again after they removed the generators to use the electric when it was able to be turned on...a very hard 3 1/2 days last weekend.
