She hears the angel tongue in split
craven in the cramp as it
cleft her bone to opening
as the rock rolled from the cave...

Absence of the light
and blinds
of dust upon her
serpentine
glittering
the loss of this:

Lord, my lord
betrayed by kiss
and cloth
that held his image
it
was Romans laughing
as she kissed
the face upon the negative
shrouding
nothing there...

"Oh yah weh heh
Yeshuah..."
she wept her salts
and belted tongue
she rocked and wept
insanities
and begged them all
"return him, please"
cursing G-d's relentlessness
that he would take
all that was left
of this man that she had loved
like no other that she had:
"Oh yah weh heh
Yeshuah..."

She wrapped his shroud
around her as
she stood
to face the light.
She draped it
ceremonial
she wore it
as if she were bride
and stepped out from the shadows
as she stumbled into purified

cautionary tales.

"Woman, tell me why ye weep?"
Her voice was anguish answering
and silenced by collapse as she
fell into the sand as He
moved
but stopped
instinctively,
and whispered
"Woman, you know me--
gather ye your voice and speak--
I need to hear you now."

Blinded by her tears she choked
and spoke the words
apostles wrote:
"Someone came and took my Lord,
denying me my right to grief;
I pray you sir, you might help me--
who could have been so bold?"

She was crumpled at his feet
and fell toward him in her need
wishing for the solace he'd
provide for her, in kindness need.

"Do not touch me." He was scared.
Afraid for her, and her aware
was instant in the sound of him.
"Don't touch me--I did not ascend
unto Our Father yet."

And in that instant that she knew
her love, her man, her God was new
risen in a body blessed
by a fancy of the flesh

and cautionary tales.

She told them all this, truthfully.
But men would have boast gleefully,
and added to the tales to boast
and called his body bread, and "host"
as if a rite could sanctify
necessity of all those lies:
Of how he told them "touch me here--
and put your fingers where the spear
left me sanctified."

And cautionary tales?
Are lies.
Even as they testify
martyred by the verses I
created to appease myself.

While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again....

Abraxist, welcome to PIP.  This first one was amazing.  Especially liked:

"And cautionary tales?
Are lies.
Even as they testify
martyred by the verses I
created to appease myself."

abraxist,
On my part to say anything would seem inadequate, except, welcome.
