heart lifted
lady
easin’ up from bad day

charcoal man brings mudbugs
hot sauce
for red mouth
kisses back of neck
make  freesôns
lady laughs
chewing
    allons danser
    ma cher

she slaps at him
tiny hand missing

charcoal man pulls her up

loblolly pines
spanish beard
day lily
fat old ‘gator
witness
dancing silhouettes
faster
faster
wild bamboula

cotton skimpy flies across room

charcoal man knows
how to fix broken window

I have a broken window!

Is that the sign of a good poem?

Lord woman, if you ever find the answer to that question, PLEASE share it with us...
that would be giving the answer to a universal question!!

Well done lady, am enjoying this series so very much.  Hugs.

I enjoyed this poem.

For some reason, it reminded me of that movie Clint Eastwood starred in with Ms. Streep - The Bridges of Madison County.

I could be off on why, but it did.

"Melvin, the best thing you got going for you is your willingness to humiliate yourself."

Breaking my window did not work.  Did I ever tell you that?  But, I did laugh tonight.
