The Ghost I Know

Hey You little girl in the corner
cant see you any longer
where have you gone
are you out playing
keep hearing your voice
your delicate singing

where are you running too?
why the rush?
am i really that scary?

why do you watch me brushing my hair
sometimes i forget that your standing there
you always smile,
make me feel so safe,
where do you live
let me see your place!?!

Aww dont run away again
i only want to talk
come on take my hand lets go for a walk!

why cant i feel your hand
when i want to be near
some times your hazy
never REALLY clear!

you always show up
when im feeling so sad
making me happy
feeling really glad

i just want a cuddle
you make me warm and free
come on little girl,
come over to me!

i lost my daughter
you remind me of her
the same smiling mouth
and the ringlets in your hair

you seem to appear
when i miss her the most
but hear me little girl
i realise your her ghost

so dont be afraid to talk
when im all alone
we'll play pretend
lets talk on the phone

just let me say goodbye
give me a chance to close the door,
but i wake in the morning
and i cant see you anymore

yet i feel complete
from just seeing you that one last time
the end of the chapter
as the grand father clock
does chime!

good night my little girl!.

Beautiful !    I read this several days ago and it has remained with me.   I have returned to it several times...in hopes that others may have come upon it.   It is far too powerful and  touching to remain hidden...
