In wee hours of morning,
earth sails a fitful sea,
merely mindful fragments
of stars and night and me.

Space lies a hollow vagrant,
the eye of ancient storm,
empty now of yesterday,
tomorrow not yet formed.

Far horizons find his sun
rising to meet my sea,
east to west holds the moon,
tide stirs old memory.

Footsteps fade to linger,
wade moments in my head,
float golden scents of summer
around my feather bed.

Klassy,
"Footsteps fade to linger,
wade moments in my head,
float golden scents of summer
around my feather bed."

That's as klassy as you can get.

Lee, I wished to be in that feather bed at  3:30 a.m. when this poem wafted in... LOL
My grandson (12) was sleep walking and I kept watch for a while to keep him from going out the door.

Very well conceived and great flow.  Makes
us all want to settle down and snooze a
little bit.

What an odd feeling to find my own thoughts forgotten here, as if a stranger had dropped a crumpled note of dreams in a puddle for me to retrieve today. ~ KL
