A Disfigured Smile

You point and stare
yes i know your there
i may not look like you
but i hurt all the same
being born this way
im not to blame
to suffer in silence
is no mans wish
do you honestly think
that i like looking like this
wanting a friend
or loves first kiss
but when you look at me
you flinch in fear
a disfigured face
balding hair
dont judge me by my looks alone
get to know my heart
im more then skin and bone
I laugh
I dance
I sing
I sigh
but mostly at nights
I lay and cry
please give me chance
see past my face
give me your hand
that saving grace
then you'll see
im a beautiful soul
then you'll be happy
and I will be whole

The want of us all. To be loved. This is very well done and emotively written. Peace. And welcome to passions.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Deeper than any skin I know ....
Larry is quite right, everyone wants to be loved
not for loves sake but for who we are and how we are seen ....

a great write, thanks for the look!

You are already whole, and writing, too!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

That is the way of the world. Hoping that man will see beyond the flawed beauty of self. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
To some a person may be ugly, but to another they have the rays of the sun held within their loving eyes. Many look deep below the outer skin and see the beauty inside.
