behold my eyes
windows to my soul
brimming with tears
hiding a black hole

there's my mouth
my silver tongu within
tarnished and rusted
heres where we begin

next stop is my throat
see how it's choking me blue
that's from all the things
i never got to say to you

onto my lungs
sticky with tar
ok that ones my fault
one out of four so far

ah look at my heart
black and bereft
it used to joyfully sing
it was destroyed the day you left

look left and you'll see my stomach
barren and small
hasn't gotten alot of use lately
i just don't feel hungry at all

right this way to my liver
now this is a busy place
i've been putting it to work
trying to forget your face

we'll skip over the next spot
it hasn't had much use as of late
don't know if it will find a use again
at least not at this rate

and here you see my legs
and right below are my feet
they're a bit run down
from trying to outrun my defeat

this conludes our tour
i hope you've enjoyed this study
and learned alot about
what love can do to a body

Quite a tour...
You depicted this very well.
Felt the loss very clearly here.

Well written, prayers for healing.
