Lackluster dreams or just another boring Nightmare

I can see those flames
So recognized I might give them names
Searing hair and flesh charring to the bones
Yet that is not the pain, for I burn alone,
Forgotten, forsaken, forever and a day
Or at least till waking it seems that way.
So waking I take a drink
Tap water from the sink
Found without a light to light the way
Walking in darkness before the day.
Yet why should I even sleep
When such is the dream I keep
Would not a dream be better made
Of a pretty young maid
Who came and stayed
While words played
And nightmares fade
And yet
I forget
Who would wish such gloom
And I when I fill the room
With the dark of a tomb
Which is my reality
And nightmare fantasy.

Gloom

Glad to have you back "lighting up" the room with your flames

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
